The Young Artists' Competition is a professionally judged contest which offers the opportunity for young musicians to compete with their peers for a monetary award provided by the Toledo Symphony League and the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. The competition typically offers no more than three awards each year. The purpose of the Toledo Symphony League’s Young Artists’ Competition is to foster the development of young musicians in Northwest Ohio and Southern Michigan. Students who will be 18 years of age or younger on December 10, 2022 and reside in the region served by the Toledo Symphony, may audition for the opportunity to perform a movement of a concerto with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. The competition will be held at the University of Toledo on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Registration begins October 29 and closes at 11:59pm on Friday, December 19, 2022.
